About Lift Kara De
Mother of all reality shows on Indian television – 20 of India’s Biggest Super-Stars will be on one platform. Each week will feature 1 Super-Star and their biggest fan and lives will change. Hosted by one of India’s finest directors – Karan Johar, this “Unique, Indigenous” format will give hope and lift the spirits of the entire nation.
Mumbai: Bollywood director cum anchor Karan Johar is making a comeback on small screen with his new show Lift Kara De.
Lift Kara De which is termed as mother of all reality show where 20 of India’s biggest Super-stars will be on one platform.
Karan Johar speaks, “I have spent a huge part of my life with the Yash Raj family. I stand here as the student and son of the Yash Raj family. I have learnt many things from Yash Raj Film Institute and I am sure in the new innings of Yash Raj on TV will be a trend setter for everyone.”

My son is a spl child and there school needs financial help. Its small school having around 25 kids, all very special ones and run by a family with out any govt help. We have tried some places but failed.

I am based in Qatar and am really impressed with you show, you are making a real difference in the lives of the needy. There is perhaps an opportunity to do more – I am sure that your production team screens a few cases to identify the one family that you help out in each show. Is there some way for people to contribute to the other needy families that are dropped out in the screening process?

Hi,
Two days back, I saw one of the worst scene of my life. I got down at Thane station from a Fast Train going towards Kalyan. On the railway bridge, i saw a kid who was around 3-4 years old with no hands. He was made to sit on that bridge all alone on a sheet of paper. He was begging (bending from his waist continously). There were some coins around him. I could see that scene for 1-2 secs only. That scene has disturbed me very much. I’am married and have one daughter who is 3.5 years old. Whenever i see her play on home, i see that helpless kid. On my way to office and home, i remember that kid.
Whenever i use my hands for every small thing, i think, who must be helping that kid with all such things in his life. He has to depend on someone else for all the things. He is too old… I have seen your program. Please can you help that kid. Please Please Please do some thing for him. These days, every day when i pray, i pray to god “Please help that small kid, small kids like him can’t have such a life.”

this is yogeeta from bangalore.actually i want to tell you about someone who really need help.
There is a 20 yrs old boy called pradeep who has got Kidney failure .for kidney failure there are only two options either u can get life time dialysis i.e artificial kidney or u can get kidney transplant done.he is from a very poor family and at this young age he has to go through dialysis ,when u r on dialysis there is no life as such and i know this with my personal experience ,even i had got Kidney failure and just a month back my mother donated me her kidney.
This boy pradeep is 20 yrs old but he has become so weak and thin he hardly looks 12-13 yrs.i have been asking for help for him.
Dialysis is not good for his health he is getting so many problems during dialysis like, excess bleeding, High BP,giddiness etc
though i dont know him properly ,i would be the most happy person if you could help him.

I have seen you recent program Lift Kara De ! I am very impressed by this program and I can hope a ray of life trough this,so I am writing you with some hope!!!
My self is Andres (Anil) Gaikwad. .I have completed my degree in a social work.I am well educated and civilized one. Currently living in Mumbai with my wife and child. My parents are at my native place. I am from very poor family background. My parents are farmer. They have a very limited land which is not farmed properly. My families all hopes are with me as they have put their efforts to make me literate. But I am the one who is hopeless and helpless.
Unfortunately, my body got burnt around 35-40% and was admitted in a kasturba hospital for one and half month at the age of 24 years. What could be the Future? I lost my bank balance for my treatment and medical expenditure and still my skin is not normal which is under treatment. Hands are not moving properly. Skin is looking ugly. Therefore my job is in trouble as I am looking ugly. Being avoided by people. Therefore I am not comfortable in my life. I am unable to manage financially for my life and my family, where my family is seriously suffering thorough financial position. I am worried about my family, about the future of my brother who has cleared his SSC exam and going to college. His expenses are high. Now MOM is also around 45 years of age. She also is not much capable to earn. Dad is on the bed since last 15 years and he is completely unable to serve his family. Younger brother earnings a small amount of and trying to feed my parents.
I am married and got a son. He is a 3 years old. Worried about his life also. My wife is not much educated. Even she also unable to take care.
I am seeing my Future completely blind. As a senior son of my family, everything is depending on me. But I am unable to take care of my family. I have written you with some hope.
I humbly request you please help me anyhow in a crucial period of my life.My financial position as well as my professional position both are in trouble.I am completely disabled to take care of both positions.I believe in your philanthropy.
I am afraid about my life as well as my Family, My Child and My Wife.

Just curious whether Shahrukh Khan would be coming to the show anytime soon?
I have always watched all of SRK’s movies in cinemas. I live in Melbourne, Australia and the cinemas here are very quiet and if you hear a whistle, that’s mine; and even though my husband does not understand Hindi – he knows that if we don’t want to get into a fight; he has to come watch the SRK movie with me. And when at home, I have never cooked a meal without playing his movie in the background.
He is great human being, an excellent actor and I hope to be pleasantly surprised and meet him once!

There is a poor woman who is suffering Elephantiasis(swollen Legs) since childhood, married to a blind man, has 3 daughters now all going to school. She is surviving on small donations from relatives and a home business(rented old car). She has also developed Diabetes now and needs regular medicines. I live in the UK and had heard a lot of praise about your show from my friends and family in India. I recently subscribed to Sony T.V. and have been following you show. I recently watched the episode with Shri Dharmendra as the guest of honour. I was really touched by the magnitude of joy it had brought to the winner and the lady who was gifted 11 + 1.25 lakh rupees. I was only wondering if there is also a mechanism by which it is ensured that the money is wisely utilised and the beneficiaries donot end up as targets of the goons. I was especially concerned for the old lady with two little kids, who probably can easily be mislead and befooled.

I would like to represent Sujata, a widow, who lives in Banglore, and has two kids with Thalassemia, 12 yrs and 1 year old. Both of them need to have blood transfusion every month. Her husband died of heart attack but company didnt reimburse anything. She has been ignored from family members and I am concerned, if she breaks.
She is surviving in a flat somehow with help of relatives. I dont know how long it will carry on. I will be happy to provide more info.

Myself Swati singh, I am writing here behalf of my tailor (Mr. Rashmin D. Pithdiya) as he is not able to write in English. One of the worker under my tailor named Vijay Rambachan singh was working under him from last 3 years.
Vijay is 27 year old and his both kidneys were failed from last 2 years. He has lost his parents in childhood and don’t have any relatives too to help him. From last 2 years, his friends were trying to get any help for him.
